AFSN

AFSN

The AFSN was formed in 2008 to provide a platform for forensic science institutes in Asia to discuss and formulate strategies relating to forensic science issues in Asia, and enhance the quality of forensic sciences through various collaborative measures. AFSN has come a long way since its formation in 2008 with only 6 forensic institutes from 6 countries. Today, AFSN comprises 47 institutes from 15 countries. Within AFSN, there are also five technical workgroups (Crime Scene, DNA, Illicit Drugs, Toxicology and Trace Evidence) and a Quality Assurance & Standards Committee that promote active learning, discussion and exchange of scientific data in the respective discipline.
